I am an artist and photographer currently enrolled at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) working as a Photography major.
I love photography. I've only picked it up recently in my art-making career, but it has quickly become my favorite kind of artistic medium. It started as a hobby that I wanted to pursue. I took class after class, learned the basics, and now am going to college to continue learning. Now at MICA as a full-time student, I can't wait to better my art and share it with the world.
I thank you for taking the time to look at my site and through my photographs.
I am first and foremost an artist. That is what I am trained in and that is what I work with. Photography is, from my studies, one of the only true art forms that require a multitude of different aspects all at once. Lighting, composition, content, angle, patience. Combine that with all the technical "mumbo-jumbo" and you have the ability to create something magical.
Zach is an artist and photographer currently enrolled at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) working as a Photography major.
Comparatively to his entire art-making career, photography is a recent venture for Zach. Despite being relatively new to the medium, he is persistent and determined to learn all that he can about this medium and how he can apply it to all of his art-making practices. Now at MICA as a full-time student, he continues his journey to constantly improve his craft and hopes to one day share it with the world.

about
I'm a multi-disciplinary artist with a Bachelor of
Fine Arts (BFA) in General Fine Arts, as well as a
minor in Photography, from the Maryland Institute
College of Art (MICA).
Being an artist came naturally to me, but puppetry
became an unexpected catalyst for the majority of
my multidisciplinary studio practice. My current
goals are to diversify, explore, and learn as much
as I can as an emerging maker.
I was recently a participant in the Intern Program
at Animax Designs in their Soft Goods department,
where I worked on a number of high-profile IP
projects for theme parks and touring attractions, as
well as on a dedicated Intern Project, Max the
Animaxolotl. Before that, I was with Monkey Boys
Productions, where I worked on projects for Saturday Night Live, the 2019 Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors, and the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 Live: Time Bubble Tour, among others. I have also had work featured in the 2019 Berkshire Lantern Walk held at the Clark Art Institute, and in U R Tha 1!, a funk-musical short film produced as part of the Baltimore Rock Opera Society’s Puppet 6-Pack which was released in early 2021.
